Mini Minimal Design

Joane: For well over twenty years I have been building dollhouses, oftentimes "kitbashing" beyond recognition of the original house, but utilizing traditional design for the interior and exterior structure. After recently discovering some rooms by modern miniature artists, I reconnected with my modern real childhood homes. My parents designed several of our homes as I was growing up. They were very modern, a lot of glass surrounded by woods, with tall ceilings, airy rooms and huge modern fireplaces. I guess I've come full circle now. With this blog, I hope to experiment with the parameters of minimal design in miniature, utilizing the elements of line, texture, color, space and arrangement. Additionally, there are many famous twentieth century artists and photographers whom I also want to revisit and incorporate their fabulous works in my designs. With a little bit of luck and some humor, I hope many of you will visit my blog regularly and make constructive comments.
